Getting in the spirit

Even though we don't spend Christmas in our home I have always loved decorating for Christmas and this year was even more fun because I had the best helper. Brayden was asked to represent his class (of 60 nursing students) at a nursing gala with all the booster of the nursing program. I am already such a proud wife but this made me even more proud! He is always working and studying so things like this make all the hard work pay off-and I love to brag about how amazing he is-so while he was out Madi and I turned on the grinch and after getting extremely frustrated with pre-light trees we ripped off a few strands of lights and then started to decorate. Madi loved standing on my little step and carefully touching every light within reach. She would say "hoho" every time I got anything out of the box. She had a few ornaments that she would rearrange but other than that she really doesn't bother the tree. Brayden also did the outside of our house and I love it. Every time we pull into our house at night Madi will point and say "ohh" Christmas time is so magical with a little one around!!
