Las Vegas

Things worked out and Madi and I were able to grab a ticket to Vegas to spend the weekend with my family. We were sad to leave Brayden behind but because he was working every night and sleeping all day I wouldn't really get to see him anyway. Madi did awesome on the plane ride...I was nervous because our flight left at her bedtime and I was alone with her on my lap but after seeing how she traveled I wish I was her next time. Headphones, treats, and the iPad got us through the first half and then coloring helped finish off. As soon as we started landing she closed her eyes and was out until we meet up with grandma and grandpa in Vegas! Chris, Meredith and the kids were on the same flight but we didn't get to sit by them.

Day 1 We woke up pretty early the next day and said hi to everyone. Madi was so excited! Walking outside at 9 in the morning and it already be 90 degrees makes you want to jump in the water fast. Lake Las Vegas is beautiful. There was a little pool that Madi LOVED!! She was getting so brave swimming (freaked me out), she loved playing in the sand down by the beach and would usually take a long nap because she was playing so hard! She hardly knew I was around because she thought she was one of the big kids and would just follow them everywhere. The first night we had some in-n-out and then back to the hotel to watch a movie by the pool.

Day 2 Basically the day was the same except Madi found the slide into the bigger pool and we went down about 15 times. She loved it! We swam our hearts out and then went up to the room to take a nap but instead got in the car and drove to see the new bridge at Hoover dam. She slept the whole time in the car but my dad, mom and me got to see the bridge and it is amazing! It's huge!! We meet back up with everyone at luciells a yummy BBQ restruant and then back for one last swim and another movie. We packed our bags and went to sleep.

Day 3 We woke up at 4 and were on our way to the airport. We got home about the same time Brayden got off work. The weekend was hot, full of laughter, playing and went by so fast! It was fun to get away for a little vacation but next time Brayden is coming with us!!

She was so tired so she wouldn't even look at me but she loved looking out the window at the big airplane!
