Before anything happened to Brayden we had planned to take two weeks off and go home to Rexburg while Hadley and Cindy were home. We couldn't let a thing like a broken femur and surgery on his shoulder two days ago stop us from going home!! (Bray is still just as determined laying on the couch..I think it's fear of missing out) everything was going to work out perfect and my dad would fly over pick us up and that be that. Well the rain storms started coming so he couldn't fly so my dad drove over picked us up and then drove us home amazing!! I could have done it but let's be honest I slept the whole time he drove us home! We all needed a good nap! We pulled into Rexburg, filled some prescriptions for some little blood clots they found in brays leg and then we were driving up to island park for the week. Blayne and Leslie rented a cabin on the water and it was just what we needed! I think because of all the moving around Brayden was having a tough night, he was in a lot of pain and wasn't breathing good at all, before everyone went to bed Blayne was able to give Brayden a blessing and from that night on he didn't have any more problems. We are so lucky to have those blessing in our life!! The weather didn't want to cooperate with us and we had off and on rain showers but we still got in the boat and went on a muddy rzr ride. We always play lots of games, catch phrase being a favorite...girls always win because let's face it boys can't read or they make up words and pretend that's what it says:) We had so much fun with everyone up there!
Later that week we had family pictures with the Pococks, since our last family picture (Madi was 5 weeks old) Jevin was on his mission, we have 2 new sister in laws, 2 new grand babies! Our family is growing fast!! We had them out at the ranch in Kilgore, Madi did good for the first half but was over pictures by the end. She still loves finding the cows out there!
While Brayden would nap me and Madi would sneak out...it's not as much fun without Brayden being there but Madi wanted to ride a horse-because I'm a little afraid and don't know/have a horse we went to the next best...merry go round! Of course we picked the pink and purple horse, she was a little afraid at first so I sat with her and by the end she loved it!
We had to get home for dr appointments and luckily this time my dad could fly us!! Madi was so excited. She waves at every airplane that passes and says "hi papa rob" We would all pick the hour flight over four hours in the car...especially when Madi sleeps for the whole hour!! Like always the week goes by to fast but I think it was the best thing for us to be around family!!
